The ‘Núcleo de Pesquisas em Ciências Biológicas’ (NUPEB) from Federal University of Ouro Preto, is pleased to announce the III International Symposium on Biological Sciences – Highlighting the need for basic science and biotechnology to preserve life. The Symposium represents a joint initiative from the Graduate Program in Biological Sciences and the Graduate Program in Biotechnology. In 2020, the event will be displayed entirely in the online version from 20th to 22nd October. We are expecting to offer a range of interesting topics presented by national and international speakers covering 1) Genomics, Proteomics and Bioinformatics; 2) Biochemistry and Physiology; 2) Parasitic and Infectious Diseases; 3) Biotechnology Applied to Animal and Human Health and 4) Industrial Biotechnology.
The Symposium will also feature sessions dedicated to short presentations of graduates from NUPEB in order to publicize the work of our former students in Brazil and worldwide. On the last day, we are also planning a live with national researchers involved with the Covid-19 pandemic.
